chestnut-sided warblers

Chestnut-sided warblers (Setophaga pensylvanica) are still calling and guarding territories in New Hampshire. Their songs sound cheerful, but the males are fairly aggressive in dealing with rivals. The most commonly heard and seen warblers in our area are chestnut-sided and yellow warblers, common yellowthroats, and ovenbirds.
