Lobster boats

In the large bay area around Bar Harbor the numerous islands and inlets provide some degree of protection from the full fury of the North Atlantic Ocean and numerous small and some moderately larger boats go along the coast setting lobster traps. Back in the 19th century huge large lobsters were still common but now under law way too many lobsters have to be thrown back because they are too small and young. Of course a moratorium of lobster fishing in the area for a couple of decades would do wonders for letting the lobster population recuperate but don't hold your breath on seeing that happen anytime soon.
