D&H 709 Oneonta
D&H U30-C #709 rests at the service area in Oneonta, NY on July 23, 1978. I spent a lot of time starting in July 1978 at my friends grandfathers farm on Richmondville Hill. We saw a lot of D&H trains, but I never caught any of the U30-C's or SD45's on any train. Seems like the trains North of Oneonta at the time featured 4 axle power. I would have loved to photograph a train on Richmondville with one of these leading. They were off the roster in another year.
