WM 4313 Ashford Jct.

The end was fast approaching for the 4th Sub of the old BR&P under the Chessie banner. The G&W subsidiary R&S would assume operations of the line from Rochester to Ashford Jct. on 7/21/1986. I made every possible effort to get trackside and photograph the daily train on the line. At that time the "schedule" was one train a day. RS-97 would run South and the crew would return the next day on SR-94. The call times were usually early morning so the train ran the entire line in daylight. On this day I drove South along the line until I intercepted the Northbound SR-94 just leaving Salamanca. Chessie 4313 & 3753 lead SR-94 at Ashford Jct., NY, on June 14, 1986. The train is just starting up the 4th Sub.
