Conrail 2516 Happy Crew
Conrail 2516 & 2500 depart Rochester Jct. in Mendon, NY on February 27, 1980. The crew had just finished putting the train back together and are heading North to Rochester. The local often left cars that were not headed to Honeoye Falls or Lima at Rochester Jct. on the Southbound run, and picked them back up on the way back North. The crew on the Lima local was always really friendly, and offers of rides were frequent. I got a friendly wave from the brakeman as he heads into the cab of 2516. That little shack was used by the LV to house MOW equipment.
