Spring/Summer Collection 2007_2
Cologne/Paris 5.10.06 From the 5th to the 8th of October 2006 the new eva gronbach
summer 2007 collection (women, mens, accessories, shoes) will be presented at the
Designer Salon RENDEZ-VOUS in Paris. It has been created in honour of german artist
Karl Valentin (1882 – 1948).
The collection is characterized by a slim silhouette, the hallmark of german artist and
comedian Karl Valentin’s appearance.
The clear shape is emphasised by the contrasting colours black, white and grey. The
collection comprises blazers, jackets, skirts, pants and shirts of which the clear cut is
intermitted by the material selection. Fine japanese ribbons complete the line. The
womens collection shows puff sleeves in different variations on shirts, blousons and
jackets.
Knitwear like pullovers and slip-ons with V-neck or roundneck have braces elements built
in. Slim ties, some of them knitted complete the suit line for men and women. Materials
are viscose, cotton and a cotton-metallic mix – some shiny fabrics and some with a matt
silk finish.
With her collections the young german designer sets topical issues in a new fashion
context and thus inspires discussions. She first caused a stir on the international fashion
scene with her collection 2000 "Declaration d’amour à l’Allemagne".
Eva Gronbach: “It is exciting to see how fashion is able to alter peoples perceptions.“
