Gannets ignore social distancing

Take on my recent trip to Bempton cliffs. Gannets are a big success on the Yorkshire coast, Bempton cliffs are the only mainland colony for Gannets in the uk, there are about 20,000 plus breeding during the spring summer months.

If you read my last description you will know I only had with me my little canon mirrorless m50 and a couple of lenses. This shot was taken with the 15-45 kit lens, it’s tiny😀, but in all honesty I don’t think it’s too bad, yes there are sharper lenses out there, but they tend to cost a lot more money.

Bempton cliffs is well worth a visit whatever camera you may have, it’s well worth a visit if you have no camera at all, the birds are the main attraction but the views from the cliffs are pretty spectacular too and you can go on quite a good walk down to Flamborough.
