When we visited the light years ago, the historic lighthouse was in need of a coat of paint. It's since been spiffied up and although it's remote, more and more visitors are finding it.

 

Built in 1871, it's called a pepperpot lighthouse, and is a National Historical Site. The closest village is called Port au Choix, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
