Restored: BFF166B - Morris 1100
The Morris 1100 was a member of BMC, later known as British Leyland, ADO16 family. Production of the ADO16 began in 1962 with the Morris examples being built at Cowley, Oxford, and the Austin examples being built at Longbridge, Birmingham. It was designed by designed by Alec Issigonis following his success with the Mini, and was built in various parts of the World. In Italy it came under the Innocenti brand. Excellent leg room was achieved in the rear due to the transverse mounted engine.
First registered in 08/1964, this lovely Morris 1100 is seen here departing from Glyndyfrdwy Station, Wales, having been on display during the Llangollen Railway Classic Transport Weekend on 07/07/2024. © Peter Steel 2024.
