Preserved former Northern Counties, Wigan, demonstrator - F100AKB - Renault PR100.2
With Renault style windscreen, this former Northern Counties demonstrator was built in 10/1988 and was one of only five built for the British market. Popular in France, the PR100 was originally built by Berliet. It wasn't a success in the UK. London Buses took one, not this although it was on loan to them I believe, and Luton Airport took the other three. After use as a demo., this passed to Hornsby, Ashby. Restored to a high standard in London Buses East London livery, like its sister RN1, G276VML that was built a year later, it is seen here on display on Heath Common, Wakefield, at the Dewsbury Bus Museum Rally & Running Day, on a hot 27/05/2012. © Peter Steel 2012.
