Comfort DelGro - Metroline London Northern, Harrow - TA94 T194CLO - Dennis Trident SFD111 - Alexander ALX400
These dual-doored full height Tridents heralded the low-floor era of double-deck buses for Metroline, TA94, new in 08/1999 being from the second batch of the TA class, TA82-117. Based at Harrow Weald, it is seen here at Harrow Bus Station, on 27/07/2000. It is operating service 182 Harrow Weald Garage - Wealdstone - Harrow Bus Station - Sudbury - Wembley - Neasden Shopping Centre - Brent Cross Shopping Centre. Entering service from Harrow Weald, it moved into store at North Wembley, in 12/2007, then moved for service out of Perivale West, the following month. In 03/2009, it moved to Cricklewood being withdrawn from there in 12/2010 and passing to Ensignbus(dlr), Purfleet. In 04/2011, it passed to Solihull Travel, however they ceased trading barely a month later and it then passed back to Ensignbus, this time for the operational fleet where it was numbered 194 and converted to single doorway. In 06/2015, it was acquired by Bear Buses, Feltham, and was scrapped in 10/2017. These details and more can be found at www.countrybus.org/Trident/TA_Metroline/TA_Met.htm and www.countrybus.org/Trident/TA_Metroline/TA_Met_a.htm#fleet.
As a footnote, this photo was taken with my then new camera, a Pentax MZ-M. Obviously I was getting used to the settings as a few of these have turned out a little dark.
The camera being a Pentax MZ-M with the film being a Fujichrome Colourslide.
I would request, as with all my photos, that they are not copied or downloaded in any way, shape or form. © Peter Steel 2000.
