Happy Al's, Birkenhead, 10 A10ALS - Leyland Royal Tiger RTC - Leyland Doyen

First of all, for the observant of you who kindly follow my photostream, you will notice there is a near two years gap between my previous colourslide date and this one. I put this down to two things. One film was definitely not processed, for whatever reason. I seem to think it required mounting into frames coupled to the fact that I had two young children around that time, and probably working plenty of overtime at my then work of employment, it may have also got mislaid, so what don't have included is the rest of my visit to Bromley and Orpington and a visit to Manchester. Oh! well, c'est la vie.

Back to the subject matter in hand, this gaudily painted Royal Tiger is seen here at Blackpool Pleasure Beach Coach Park, on 28/06/1995. It was the third in a batch of eight supplied to West Riding, in 01/1988, where it carried fleetnumber 49 and registration E49TYG. Immediately behind is, 45, ALZ4516, a Leyland National 2 NL116L11/1R. That was new to Central Scottish(N36), SNS822W, in 12/1980, whilst just glimpsed at the rear is, 18, A18ALS, another Leyland Royal Tiger, which was new as E44MMT, to Reliance, Gravesend, in 06/1987. Intended to be registered D163HML, it was re-registered PJI3749 when with Reliance.

The camera being a Pentax MZ-M with the film being Boots Colourslide II.

I would request, as with all my photos, that they are not copied or downloaded in any way, shape or form. © Peter Steel 1998.
