London Buses - London United - FR6 H706YUV - Iveco-Ford Daily 49.10 - Reeve Burgess Beaver

The Reeve-Burgess Beaver body was normally found on the Mercedes-Benz 709D and 811D variants, however, eight of these Reeve- Burgess Beaver bodied Iveco 49.10s were acquired by London Buses for services in and around the Hounslow on a series of 'Hoppa' services that were supported in a joint venture with the London Borough of Hounslow. Numbered FR1-8, H701-8YUV, and featuring tail-lifts, they were new in 12/1990. FR6 is seen here at Hatton Cross Station, on 24/10/1994, while on layover after working in on service H25. Twelve days later, London United were privatised in a management buyout. Unfortunately, this photo is a little on the dark side, more than likely down to me shooting towards the Sun.

The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being the excellent Fujichrome.

I would request, as with all my photos, that they are not copied or downloaded in any way, shape or form. © Peter Steel 1994.
