London Buses - Metroline - LLW35 L35WLH - Dennis Lance 11SDA3202 - Wright Pathfinder 320

Now then, what can I say here about these without being offensive? Although the idea was right in principle, low-floor, easy access, that was about it! Let's say from travelling experience, they weren't exactly the most comfortable and while in effect they were among the first examples of the low-floor generation, they weren't the best. Bang, bang, rattle rattle, fall to bits, with a visit to A & E for a jarred back! Suffice to say, London Buses didn't order many, just thirty-eight in total, being operated by London United, Centrewest and Metroline. The first twenty-four had matching registrations and fleetnumbers, being registered in Northern Ireland, while LLW25-38, as seen here were London registered but of these, LLW30 and LLW33 were registered L21WLH and L39WLH respectively. New in 04/1994, LLW35 is seen here in Harrow Bus Station, loading for a rattely trip to Brent Cross Shopping Centre, on 04/08/1994. It didn't have a long life, but that's not surprising, and operational wise, never moved from the Harrow area. It entered service from Harrow Weald in 06/1994 moving the Edgware, with the 186 service in 09/2004, however, just under twelve months later, it moved into store at North Wembley and was bought for spares by Sullivan Buses, South Mimms, in 12/2005, being sold for scrap by 06/2007.

The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being the excellent Fujichrome colourslide.
