London Coaches - T343 KYV343X - Leyland Titan TNLXB2RRSp - Leyland
New to London Transport(T438), in 11/1981, this smart Titan is seen here, in early 06/1994, cruising down Buckingham Palace Road, near London Victoria Coach Station, after working on LT tendered service, 52. Entering service at Walthamstow when new, it stayed there until 11/1991 transferring through to Stamford Hill and then North Street, Romford, in quick succession. In 09/1993, it was sold to the Rainham based operator and dealer, Ensignbus. The same month, it was bought by the Wandsworth based London Coaches operation, who acquired a number of the type and painted them into this smart route branded livery. The 52, together with the Titans passed to Harlesden based Atlas Bus in 08/1994, however, just three months later, the Atlas Bus operation was bought by the then newly privatised London Buses Metroline operation. In 12/1995, it was transferred to the Willesden depot and in 01/1997, it was loaned to Capital Citybus(953) for two months. Passing back to Metroline, it was then sold to Fleetlink, Liverpool, in 06/1997 then a month later it passed onto Liverpool Citybus. It was only there for around four months passing to Castle Buses, Speke. It can't have been a popular bus, as it passed to Citibus, Chadderton, in around 02/1998 being withdrawn by them in 2002. In 03/2003, it passed to West Kent Coaches via West Kent Coach Sales. It remained there until passing to dealer Mike Nash, Weybridge, in 07/2004. A month later, it was bought by BBC Bristol and used as a mobile workshop/rest-room. By 11/2006, it was bought by NGP Film Services, Rhondda, Wales, however, it was withdrawn in 01/2007 and sold for scrap in 04/2008.
The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being the excellent Fujichrome.
