Preserved London Transport - RM2198 CUV198C - AEC/PRV Routemaster R2RH - Park Royal

This RM was new to LT in 04/1965 entering service from Hackney. In 09/1966, it was transferred to Hendon, then onto Seven Kings in 07/1977 and later moved on again, this time to Thornton Heath. Withdrawn from there in 02/1987, it spent a couple of months with the London based Andrew Treagus Association but was only there a couple of months being sold to well known Cheam based dealer Ted Brakell. In 10/1987, it was bought by a Bushey based preservationist and is seen here on Station Road, Quainton, near Aylesbury, approaching the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, having been on a trip around the local area when attending a bus rally that was being held there. It went on to be loaned to then Watford area operator Timebus Travel in 1996. In 2005, it was bought by Carousel Buses, High Wycombe, being retained by the owner of Carousel in 2012 when the company was sold.

The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being the excellent Fujichrome.
