London Buses - London General - DRL76 K576MGT - Dennis Dart 9SDL3024 - Plaxton Pointer

This smart 9.0m Dart is seen here cruising down Buckingham Palace Road, near London Victoria Coach Station, in 10/1993. A member of the successful DRL class, it was new a couple of months earlier in 08/1993, so technically could have carried an 'L' suffix on it's reg. plate rather than the 'K' suffix it carries. Based at the nearby Victoria Basement at the time of the photo, it was then transferred to Stockwell. Privatised to London General on privatisation in 10/1994, it moved to sister company London Central and to New Cross in 01/1999. It was withdrawn ex-New Cross in 03/2002. It was bought by Eastonways, Ramsgate, in 04/2003 being withdrawn by them in 02/2007 and finally broken up on site at Herne Bay for scrap in 11/2009.

The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being the excellent 'Fujichrome' colourslide.

I would request, as with all my photos, that they are not copied or downloaded in any way, shape or form. © Peter Steel 1993.
