London Buses - South London - DMS2312 THX312S - Leyland Fleetline B20 FE30ALR - Metro-Cammell
The 'B20' version of the Fleetline was specifically for London use, outward differences being the engine vent 'stacks' at the rear. As soon as the last of the much maligned DMS class had arrived at London Transport, then the first were being withdrawn and in no particular order really. If you wanted your 'B20' fix as late as the 1990's, then West Croydon was the place to be where this South London example is seen at the bus station on 27/12/1990. It was new to London Transport in 01/1978. Having been passed around various depot's in the capital and the suburbs, this one had quite a long life for a 'B20' after being withdrawn by Luton & District(966), in 03/1986 going fro scrap two moths later.
