One in, one out - Civitavecchia, Italy
Two Ro/Ro Passenger Ferries are seen here just outside the Port of Civitavecchia - Port of Rome, on 18/08/2019. Nearest the camera and about to enter the port is GNV, Genoa - Kriti I - IMO: 7814046. Built in 1979 with a GTW 27239, she sails under the Flag of Greece, with her home port being Chania. Passing and on a bit of a lean when leaving the port is Moby Lines - Tirrenia, Milan, Italy - Moby Tommy - IMO: 9221310. She was built in 2002 by Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd., Geoje, South Korea for the Greek company, Minoan Lines as MS Ariadne Palace. She has a GTW 26995, has 2000 lane metres and is powered 4 x Wärtsilä 12V46C, giving a speed of 31.5 knots. She sails under the Italian flag with a home port of Naples.

Azura was built in 2010 by Fincantieri, Monfalcone, Italy. Laid down in October 2008, launched in June 2009 and Christened on 10th. April 2010 with her maiden voyage on the 12th. Part of the Grand Class of cruise ships, the earlier and similar Ventura being her sister ship. Registered in Hamilton, Bermuda, she has a GTW of 115,055, has nineteen decks of which fourteen are passenger accessible giving a maximum passenger capacity of 3,096 and 1,226 crew.
