Restored: Bibby's, Ingleton, YAT221 - Seddon Mk.V Flat-bed

New in 1958, this Seddon flat-bed is seen leading the line of this preserved trio from Bibby's. Behind is DAP17, a 1946 Bedford OLAD. This petrol engined 'O' model first ran in East Sussex and was used for carrying milk churns. Bringing up the rear is long time preserved ACC629. This Duple Vista bodied Bedford OB was new in 03/50 to the Penmaenmawr Motor Company, Wales. It has seen service in Jersey from 05/1955 to 05/1971 registered J3617. Re-registered back to it's original plate on return to the UK, it was then re-registered TRN618A in 02/1986 reverting once again to it's original reg. in 07/1989. To the left of these is a Greater Manchester Transport 'Standard' and Ribble 439, NTC619M, a Leyland National 1151/1R/0401, new to Ribble in 11/1973. This photo was taken at Leyland Vehicles HQ on what was either the 1st. June or 8th. June 1980 at what I think was the Bus Driver of the Year Area Finals also coinciding with a vehicle road run and rally.

The film used was Agfa Colourslide with the camera being a Praktica MTL3.

I would request, as with all my photos, that they are not copied or downloaded in any way, shape or form. © Peter Steel 1980.
