Reading Transport - 126 SGM126S - Scania Metropolitan BR111DH - Metro-Cammell
New to Reading Transport, in 03/1978, Reading seemed to have more success than most with the thirsty Anglo-Swedish product, more so in fact that they added to their own with examples from London Buses and Tyne & Wear PTE. It was sometimes confusing as to which of the two operators the second-hand examples had come from as some of the London ones were registered OUC-R whilst the T & W PTE ones were OCU-R examples! This home grown example is seen cruising along what I think is is the B3345 George Street, Reading. The photo being taken in early 08/1979.
