South Yorkshire Transport - 291 SWB291L - Leyland Atlantean AN68/1R - Alexander AL
New to Sheffield City Transport, in 03/1973, this Atlantean passed to South Yorkshire PTE, together with the rest of the fleet at that time, when formed on 01/04/1974 under local government reorganisation. Alongside is 107, EWB107C, a Park Royal bodied Daimler Fleetline CRG6LX, new to Sheffield(107) in 01/1965. I think the location is the former Booth & Fisher Halfway depot although I stand to be corrected, other than that it maybe the layover area at Pond Street Bus Station in Sheffield City Centre. The photo was taken on a nice sunny day in 07/1979.
The film was a Dixons Colourslide which has kept well and was the only Dixons one I used, however looking at these, I wish I had bought another couple at the time. I must've bought it away somewhere as there was no Dixons local to me.
