Although it was back in April when I bought this for £1.50 (£5.50 all told) on eBay, it's only today that I finally got round to scanning it in...it's a weekly Metrocard from West Yorkhire PTE and it looks like the final such one issued because, as of 26 October 1986, the PTE's bus operations passed to Yorkshire RIder.
When this expired on 8 December, Swedish group Europe were at number one with The Final Countdown and Berlin were at number two with the theme from Top Gun. Meanwhile, I had what I THOUGHT was spots all over my belly but was actually chickenpox so I had to stay off school; yes, I'll always remember the last few months of 1986 with great fondness.
As for this card, well, in conjunction with Metrocard no 638361, this entitled the holder to second class rail travel in the whole of West Yorkshire. Mind you,it's all in the conditions of use on the right...so I don't need to tell you, do I?
