tickets to ride to the docks

Nearly three months ago, I bought six Merseyside PTE docks/Ocean Group tickets from the 1970s for £8.85 all told but here are four of them...all arranged in order of price. These pre-paid tickets were only available on services serving the docks so I'm guessing that included the 1.

For those who don't know, the 1 was literally a rail replacement bus service in that it replaced the Liverpool Overhead Railway, which closed in 1956 because it was too fucking expensive to update. Also known as the Docker's Umbrella as it served the docks, this was the world's first elevated electric railway, running from Dingle to Seaforth.

When the last train ran in 1956, Liverpool Corpy must have been wondering, "what the fuck do we do now?" The answer was the 1, which ran all the way along the dock road. As for these tickets, not only did they take me fucking ages to scan in but also edit...the last two are actually the same ticket, the one without the serial numbers being the other side.

Well, for that reason, I hope you like my efforts; if not, then tough!
