How cool is this!? Not sure when the next time will be when I can take a huge tripod into a club... The conditions were TOUGH for photography. LOW red light (which I knew red would make for killer black and whites). The stage was up pretty high so I had to extend the tripod over my head and use live view to compose and had to manually focus the lens. I set the ISO pretty low so I could intentionally show motion and all the work the DJ was doing (and make a few images crisper than the 3200 ISO was shooting at most of the time). I used a wired release to trigger the camera right when he went to a new spot to try and catch him standing still for at least a few seconds of the fairly long exposure.
Nikon D5000 with 35mm 1.8 at f/5.0 for 5 seconds at ISO 200. Lots of adjusting in Lightroom to help the "Ghosts" show up.
