1956 CHEVY NOMAD
Another shot from several years ago at the Blacktop Nationals event here in Wichita. I was surprised to discover that the Nomad was the second most expensive model in the Chevrolet lineup for 1956. Only the Corvette cost more. In '56 a Nomad would run you $2450, which is the equivalent of $27, 133 today. The '56 Corvette was the most expensive at $3120, or the same as $34,552 today. Recently I've seen restored '56 Nomads for sale on the Hemmings website for anywhere from $80,000 to $100,000. I'll have to settle for just taking pictures of them!
