MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE AIR SHOW

This is a MiG-17 F jet fighter performing at the McConnell AFB Open House/Air Show in Wichita on September 9, 2018. This classic is owned by FighterJets Inc., and is flown by pilot Randy Ball. The MiG-17 was the most deadly enemy fighter in the Vietnam War. Until the F-16 came along, this jet was the tightest turning fighter in the world. It could climb 30,000 ft. in 3 minutes, had a ceiling of 53,000 ft., and a top speed of 715 mph. Randy Ball is an airline captain with over 14,000 hours total flying time. He has 26 years of airshow experience, and his over 1,000 airshow performances are the most of any US Jet Demo Pilot.
