One need not be a fan of royalty-----and I'm not-----to recognize that Elizabeth II is an extraordinary individual. She made her first public broadcast in (get this) 1940, and she's still at it EIGHTY years later. She was married to the same man for over seventy years. She's been the Queen my entire life. To top it off, she still seems perfectly lucid and focused at age ninety-four, but then it's pretty clear she's got longevity in her DNA. Her mother, after all, was born during Queen Victoria's reign and died in the 21st century! ----posted April 6, 2020
