cold and gray
the other morning was overcast and chilly so with a black turtleneck dress i wore fleece lined hosiery and my gray knee high lace-up boots for work and while they have really long laces they’ve always been trustworthy despite the hooks being less than sturdy. maybe it’s because i wasn’t feeling well that maybe i didn’t tie them well enough but by lunch my left boot had come untied. i retied it and went to lunch. by that evening getting home my right lace had come untied. well since i was home i didn’t bother to retie my boot and the lace got underfoot catching the heel of my boot as i stepped through my door and i faceplanted.
