year of the dragon

Style Card, Alternate Version, and Closeups

With this Lunar New Year marking the year of the dragon, I figured there'd be no better way to celebrate than making a feminine version of the Phaya Naga picture I did last year.

The Phaya Naga is a water serpent/dragon from Thai folklore said to light up the river with fireballs similar to will-o'-the-wisps.

I did two versions of this picture an had a tremendously difficult time deciding which to post. You can see the other version on my blog or down in the comments below. I may end up uploading the second version to Flickr later. We'll see! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
