GT40 Development at Riverside circa 1965

I do not own rights to this photo. It is from the Dave Friedman Collection at The Henry Ford Museum. Presented for historical interest only.

With the current interest in the movie Ford v Ferrari, it's nice to see the actual men characterized in that film.

The year description at the source states 1965 for this photo. Other photos in the series strongly indicate the location as Riverside International Raceway, where Shelby American performed their on-track testing.

From the context of the photos in the set, I also believe there is a very strong possibility that the young man at the left margin of the photo is Peter Miles, son of Ken Miles. In another photo, the young man is wearing a jacket with the word 'Cobra' on the back. Shelby American's driver Bob Bondurant on the right, an immensely talented and accomplished driver in his own right.
