“Photograph caption dated June 24, 1958 reads, "Holt Motors of Van Nuys is the first dealer granted a franchise to sell the new Japanese auto, Toyopet. The [San Fernando] Valley company is the first Toyopet dealer in United States. Cars will be shown July 11. From left are Bobby Jones, Holt general manager; Mrs. Barbara Holt; Tokutaro Kobayashi, Toyota Motor Company vice president; Shotaro Kamiya, Toyota [Motor] Sales."
Holt Motor Co. was located at 5230 Van Nuys Blvd. which is technically in Sherman Oaks.
