CSULB Auto Engineering Class Project
Circa 1977. This wrecked Mazda RX-4 wagon was donated to the school. The Automotive Engineering class used it in a project to turbocharge its Wankel rotary engine.
The story we were told regarding this vehicle was that in the course of merging with freeway traffic, this vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer rig which literally ran over it. I don't recall seeing a great amount of blood within the vehicle, so I suspect that the driver was not injured seriously.
