Freedom Convoy 2022, Ottawa, ON, Canada, DJI Mavic Air 2
On January 27th, 2022 I and two of my friends who have also been deemed by our Prime Minister to be a "a fringe minority with unacceptable views" travelled to Ottawa to observe and be counted among the demonstrators demanding the restoration of our Charter Rights. Among the many signs I saw while we were there were many placards of our Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the same Charter written in part by our current PM's (supposed) father. Apparently these are the unacceptable views of which he spoke. I saw no Confederate flags, or Nazi symbols (other then those accurately comparing the current mandates to the fascist policies of old), or vandalism or violence. The most odd characters were Ottawa's assortment of local junkies. What I saw were patriots who love their country and who want back their right to travel, their right to freedom of assembly, their right to freedom of expression, their right to bodily autonomy. Not privileges, but rights. Rights which are not to be sacrificed in the face of a disease with a 99.8% survival rate. Many people will ask for an assessment of the number of attendants. I can offer none but I know we are not small, we are not fringe and we are not a minority. We are the nation that exists behind the smokescreen of mainstream media propaganda.
