Straw Coloured Fruit Bats (Eidon felvum) Migration, Kasanka NP, Central Province, Zambia

Every year, usually beginning in October and continuing into December, an enormous colony of straw coloured fruit bats amasses in Kasanka NP. At their apex they number approximately 10 million and I must apologize, as none of my photos could do justice to the spectacle.
