st.ives harbour

Looped to the sundown, we rise with the dogs

to pick the bloom that named our days

the tide retreats, through downey haze

an evening walked to gorse spiked stars

on the land and in the sky transmission

tries to pass you by,

transmission passing through the living sings a song

to you the stone, sings a song to you the tree

sings a song for you to be.
