Messiahs, Veer Left

I'm not done with the trip yet, but I will be soon (Saturday, probably), so here is a random picture tucked between days of Chicago's Lake Michigan shore on a cold and blustery winter day, about two hours after the end of our first winter storm of the season.

Biologically speaking, I am descended from people who spent their lives fishing the Great Lakes. But something was lost in the generations between those guys and me. They knew better than to be on the lake on a day like this. They wouldn't have gotten their feet as wet as I did, and they certainly wouldn't have followed the directions on that sign.
