Fluids 12

This is a recreation of Allan Kaprow's 1967 Happening, "Fluids". It was installed by a group of volunteers at Angels Gate Cultural Center, in conjunction with other installations of the same piece around the city. LACMA, MOCA, and the Getty were all involved in this project.

 

Here are Allan Kaprow's original instructions for "Fluids":

 

“During three days, about twenty rectangular enclosures of ice blocks (measuring about 30 feet long, 10 wide and 8 high) are built throughout the city. Their walls are unbroken. They are left to melt”
