My name is Lyndsey White, and I am currently a senior at Geneva College. I’m taking this class partly for elective credit for school, and partly because I simply find photography interesting and would like to get better at it, especially portraits, abstracts and macro photography. Only recently after obtaining a digital camera have I really been able to experiment very much with it myself, now that paying for film and prints is no longer necessary. As far as a favorite photographer, I love Steve McCurry’s portraits, but don’t know about too many other photographers to choose from. I’ve never taken any photography classes or seminars, and I don’t know what to expect, but it sounds a very interesting class, and I’m looking forward to it.
