The rear end of train 2BM4. A skeletal articulated 5-pack low-deck wagon carrying "cartainers".
Transport of new cars by rail had ceased in eastern Australia for a decade or two, but was re-introduced. This time rather than carriage in special wagons, it was decided to use specially-built containers to carry the cars. At the rail destinatioin the car containers are transferred to road vehicles for delivery to final destination. These low-deck wagons were built specifically to carry the cartainers, which are taller than shippping containers.

5 "platforms", 6 bogies (trucks), 12 axles.
Carries 5 x 53ft (16.2m) "cartainers".
