Liquor Bottle Shelf (2014)

I used red oak plywood for the carcass and soft maple for the edge trim.

I applied 3 coats of an ebony stain from Minwax and then followed with 3 coats of a waterbased polyurethane by Zinsser.

I appled the polyurethane directly to maple trim for a natural look.

The shelf surface is 3/16” acrylic (plexiglass).

LED strip lights from Sylvania shine through the acylic and illuminate the bottles from below. LED color and display patterns are controlled by remote control.
