Crystal owl

I was doing some Christmas shopping and came across this beautiful crystal owl. It is my sister in law's birthday next week and while we don't normally buy presents, I couldn't resist buy him as she collects owls.

 

There is a bit of a story here. I saw the owl on a shelf as I was waiting to be served. I purchased the owl but when I came home it wasn't in the bag. I rang up and after someone checking they said they couldn't find it behind the counter. They said that the best they could do was offer a refund. Peter and I drove back to the store and the staff behind the counter did another check and said it was not there. I was quite angry and told them that it was bought as a special present and that I wasn't really happy with just a refund. The lady behind the counter was just about to do the refund and I said once again that I was really disappointed and not happy. Just at that moment the store manager walked past and asked what the problem was. When I explained what had happened she said that she had found it and went to the cupboards behind the counter and came back with my little owl. I don't understand why the other staff members didn't find it, but I am so happy it had been found. I also can't understand why the store manager hadn't mentioned it to anyone as well - would have solved the problem straight away.
