Neon Cuckoo Bee

I happened to be in the garden yesterday afternoon with my camera in hand and I spotted these little Neon Cuckoo bees flying around. I rarely see them in my garden and I saw four flying madly around the White Lavender bush.

 

I hear that there has been some snow in the UK the last couple of days - I wish I was there. We are supposed to have our first over 40C temp this week. Summer has arrived down under. I don't handle heat very well.
