Drilling to survive in winter

Butterfly in winter eking out a living:ID:Purple Emperor (Mimathyma ambica): Butterflies sans flowers look incomplete. However, I think this colorful one with yellow proboscis, found in a house-construction site in front of my house, needs to be shared.(P.S. It has been observed eventually, contrary to my initial conclusion, that quite a number of varieties of butterflies depend on the moisture of the soil for their survival, irrespective of the season)
