Schloss Mirabell
Schloss Mirabell - Mirabell Palace. Built by Prince Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau in 1606 as Altenau. Markus Sittikus later gave it the name Mirabell. Remodeled in a unified Baroque style in 1721-1727 and in a Neoclassical style in 1818. Mozart and his sister Nannerl performed in the Marmorsaal (Marble Hall).
"The Mirabell-Schloss, begun in 1606 by Archbp. Wolf Dietrich, completed by Archbp. Marcus Sitticus, and rebuilt in 1818, now belongs to the town."--Baedeker 1909.
