Head of Buddha. Thailand, Sukhothai, 12th-15th centuries. The head of Buddha features tightly curled, snail-shell-like hair, a hollow USNISA with an opening at the top, downcast eyes with pronounced undercuts, arched eyebrows, an elegant and serene mouth, and elongated earlobes.
