Long-tailed Tit ( Aegithalos caudatus ) - posing !!

Caught this little fella just as it perched on a spade handle. they really do need their food as they have a very high metabolism .Stunning little birds these so delicate and sociable always constantly on the move and never staying long in 1 area. They work the hedgerows searching for food in flocks always on the look out for sparrowhawk attack which they seem very susceptible to as they are not the most agile or fastest of fliers !!
