USS Constitution
Happy 4th of July! Here's a photo of a ship that has served the Navy for over 200 years, and has been fighting for our freedom since 1797. The Constitution remains the oldest commissioned warship still afloat in the world. Although she has been through many overhauls and restorations, it's estimated that up to 15 percent of the timber on board is from the original construction. Tours are given daily at her permanent home, the former Charlestown Navy Yard.
