IRON ZOMBIE - AVENGER ASSEMBLY !!

(BEST SEEN LARGE AND FROM OUTSIDE BITING RANGE)

Here are the components of the Iron Zombie action figure I've made, inspired by the undead infected Iron Man featured in the Marvel Zombie comics. Just Tony Stark's luck to be so pivotal in the Marvelverse that even in a particularly nauseating alternative 'reality' he ends up being one of the main players....

There are eleven articulation points including five small ball and socket joints, and of course the visor is removable so that poor Zombie Tony can...feed!

Quite possibly the 13 most tricky individual items I've ever made.....which is saying something considering some of the other things (and I do mean 'things') I've been silly enough to attempt.

The bits are cast in TC-808 two part white urethane compound and here they are all ready for a final sanding and clean up before painting and assembly. The lasses at Barnes Casting & Moulding Supplies in Richmond (Melbourne) were very helpful in assisting me to work out exactly what plastic I needed for the job.

The ball and socket joints were supplied by Hearn's Hobbies, the wonderful old shop in Flinders Street, opposite the Elizabeth Street intersection.

In the comics, Galactus arrives after the Zombies have scoffed their way through the human population of Earth. His herald got there first of course, and was promptly eaten by the super-Zoms. Surfy didn't 'go down' without a tussle though. You can see the jagged waist on the armour where the Silver Surfer's desperate cosmic energy blasts cut Iron Zombie in two....

Of course, being undead, all that did was slow Tony down a little.
