IRONY MAN-THE PLANE, STARK TRUTH

TONY'S REALLY LOST IT!!!

Nursing more than the usual walloping hangover, Stark ruefully admitted it to himself.

He'd been drunk while flying the armour again.

Last night, returning from an International mission, weaving his way across the sky he'd collided with something out over the ocean..

At the time, he hadn't even been sure it had really happened, it had all blurred by at alcohol fuelled supersonic speed.

Now, in the clear light of day...the damning evidence lay close to hand.

He'd have to get rid of it. Erase his flight recorder. Use the vast resources of Stark International to eliminate investigations...and, have another drink.

This set up was done on the Stark Lab set, slightly redressed. I drew the Oceanic Airlines logo in Photoshop and printed it out on heavy, gloss stock so it would look like aluminium, and backed it with silver foil so it would show a little like metal backing beneath paint. Not that it does much, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Again, this is the Silver Centurian Marvel legends Iron Man armour, which has the best articulation of all the I.M figures I've got, except for War Machine. Speaking of whom, that transparent plastic like arm thingy in the shot is the flying stand that holds the War Machine figure up in the air for display. I reckon it looks much better here than plugged into poor Rhodey's arse!

I've done a wee bit of photoshopping, mostly working on Tony's face; raising an eyebrow a bit, sharpening it up slightly. Adding a slightly ill looking cast to it.. I've also replaced the Old Fortran bottle with a sharper image I took seperately, and also added some light highlights to it. Subtle effects more than 'special' really, but still important to the composition.

I experimented with silvered light reflectors on this one, to try and bring out certain highlights and to 'ironically' wash out some of the reflected glare from the white Oceanic flight wreckage.

Which is, of course, Oceanic Flight 815, from the telly series, Lost. Now y'all know what happened! Tony must have had just enough wit to slow the fall of the wreck with his repulsors, which explains how anyone survived the plane coming apart in mid-air at all.

Sorry, I'm a geek, it's my job!
